When it comes to bullying, i didn't learn anything new because being a teenager in today's society, like who doesn't know about bullying? The only big issue today is one's decision whether to do something about it or be a bystander like most people tend to do. Girls and boys both bully as much but use different tactics. Meanwhile boys compete as to who has the most girls or most strength, girls use a less obvious strategy by hurting emotionally using body language and words as weapons.

i learned that being bullied is not a good thing. especially if your watching the person being bullied, which is called bystander. sometimes you have to be an up stander in a situation although you might get bullied in return.it is best to stand up for a person that's being bullied than to just sit down and watch. it makes you less of a coward.

I have learned that neither being the bully, the bystander, or being bullied is the way to go. I learned that nobody deserves to be treated like that in any way. I also learned that there are several way you can bully someone; emotionally, physically, mentally, and verbally. These kinds of things lead to death and i believe that nobody deserves to die that way, i believe that everyone dies when god has chosen for us to leave this world and start our new life. :)

I have learning that there are more different type of the bullies. When I was younger I used to bullying in my old school. Bullies used to call me name and uses bad language on me. I alway get my feels hurt because I alway felt ulgy. The reason why Bullies pick on me is because of my weight and looks. But a year later One of the bully who used to pick up. The bully started to me because I looking different. When he said that. I get really angry because all this year He pick up and making fun of me. He started to like me. I never date bullies who used to pick on me

I learned that Bullying can be not only physically but emotionly as well.In my United States History,we were ask were do we feel safe in school and I was shock to see that some of my classmates don't feel safe. I believe that in school every child should feel safe and if not should be able to tell someone that they are be threaten.

Today I learned that students also bully teachers, not just the other way around. Sometimes there are cases where us students like to intimidate teachers who are new or substitute teachers. In whichever case it may be, I feel that we students, only say how teachers bully the students, but there are times when we do the same. We can be overwhelming to some teachers who are shy, or point out to a substitute teacher, how their teachers does certain things better than them, and how they're doing everything wrong. And it's considered bullying since it's done intentionally, and by almost the whole class.

bullying to me is a form of harrasment that can be physical meantal and emotional it's something that i feel needs to be stopped becasue of the consequences of bullying for example children are hurting themselves and commiting suicide. i feel that if we get message to promote a fight against bullying things can be done to stop it. i hope that serious forms of bullying stop.

I have learned many things today on the topic of "bullying, bullied, bystander, upstander". I learned that bystanders are bystanders because they dont want to get involved with the situation at hand but also there are others who really just don't care. I also learned that the bullied don't have the voice or haven't as yet found the voice within them to stand up for themselves so the upstanders have to be their voice. But there will be a time when no one will be there to stand up for the bullied and that person being bullied has to find their voice and speak out for themselves.

I think all three toppics are important. What i love about all three topics is that they all relate to eachother, during the civil rights movement african-americans were "bullied" because of their race, the women sufferage movent women were "bullied" because of the fact that they were women. I'm glad that now all of those challenging ties are over, but now the main problem now is bullying unfortunetly, but like the african-americans and the women, we can fight against this epidemic too.

Although being a teen in today's society would make me no stranger to the topic of bullying, I've learned that bullying with females is more complicated, more vicious and discreet than recognizing bullying with males. Unfortunately, bullying is considered a "norm" in this society since bullying has been around for decades. Being that I'm against "bullies" and think that the only strategy to make a bully stop is if the bullied defended themselves and treated the bullies the same way to give a taste of their own medicine, I've also learned that there are other effective and alternative ways to stop bullying.

Similar to the Women's Suffrage and the Civil Rights Movement, these groups of people were bullied and struggled to gain equality. However, these groups of people used civil disobedience and nonviolent strategies. I agree with Nicolette that being an upstander makes you less of a coward and that sometimes being neutral doesn't benefit the one being oppressed.

My thoughts on Safety zones around the school and ant-bullying policy is that Saint Joseph High School does a lot to help their students. The teachers, today showed true interest in trying to help find the root causes of bullying. Doing this anti-bullying thing in school makes me appreciate what I have that other students in other schools might not have---and thats the security that you have people who honestly care about you and want to help you.

Vicki....Today in school when talking about bullying it felt like i was being told information that i already knew. I think that since we ourselves are the ones bullying or being bullied or etc. we are familiar with this. It was interesting to learn the difference between guys and girls being bullied and that statistics but the rest was just something we already knew.

Unknown said...

My reaction to what Takeisha Findlay is that I totally and one hundred percent agree with what she is saying. It is true that bystanders don't get involved one because they are afraid they might become the bullied and that sometimes they just don't care about the well being of their follow peers. If this is the case for those being bullied they need to stand up not for themselves and too the bully but also to the bystanders and let them know that whatever happens to anyone that can cause serious pain and injury should be a concern to them.

Unknown said...

I opinion on bullying is that it can never be stopped because its a continuous act especially in society and my generation today. I learned that bystanders are just as bad as the bullies are but I disagree under certain circumstances. I feel that a bystander should intervene only if a bully is physically harming the victim. I agree with Takeisha that the bullied will not always have someone around to defend them and that they need to learn to speak for themselves.

Unknown said...

I learned that there are different forms of bullies. Today in our society often in school, there are some teachers who are up-standers. Teachers who prefer to laughing about a student bullied by others than calm down the bullying. I learned also that you can be bullied about your racial because of ethnicity, students who bullied you because of your language or your style and others things.I think it's better to stand up against the bully than to assist and do nothing. I learn nothing new on the topic of bullying because every teenager from now know what it is. Bullying is to put someone down with what they do or say. I feel that we should get the message out there to stop bullying because it's becoming a big issue on the U.S. I hope that the issue on bullying gets stop and done.

Unknown said...

I agree with mildreht because in this world everyone knows about mostly everything, it's their decision to either help better of make the problem worst. People do compete for no reason because in the evnd there are always going to be several people out here and girls hurting each other, to me their only hurting themselves. I feel that bullying is something that needs to have an end put to it and i'm willing to help put a stop to it.-Imani Arthur

I have learned that bullying can be harmful in many ways such as emotionally physically and mentally. Most people that get bullied don't speak up right away that is why i feel it results into bigger problems such as suicidal thoughts or getting bullied by more people. Some bullies take problems even further than necessary and bring in violent acts such as fighting and using weapons into play. Bullying can be prevented if we children start being nicer to our friends and peers.

I’m no stranger to the concept of bullying and I didn’t lean anything new because I‘ve been informed about bullying before. Because I am a teen in this society of technology I feel that it is essential to discuss bullying. I also believe that is it important to pay special attention to the two main components that can either give power to the bully/ bullies or stop the bullying right in its tracks. These main components are the bystander and the up stander. By simply discussing that just one voice can make more of a difference then one thinks will defiantly reach some students. I feel that the way the school went about the subject of bullying in a well structured and creative way. The only thing I would change was I would make the approach more hands on but other than that I thought the school did a very good job in conducting a type of ant bullying workshop.

Christina Ogbotiti said...

I learn that sometimes bullies could be bullies just because of the problems they have to deal with in their homes. In my intro to occupation class, we discussed that some people could do certain things that could be considered bad just because of they want to escape the horrible things that in their lives. I think that the bullied should get some help but I feel that bullies who are misunderstood deserve help too.

Unknown said...

According to chanel post, I do agree with her because now in these days some students tend to bully teachers they may not see it as bullying but it is in a way. Bullying can be seen in many other cases like in jobs, transportation, schools and etc. I feel that bullying is taking a big part of society and we need to stop it.

Tasha said...

I learned that bullying is part of life and that everyone experiences it. But, still I didn't learn much because I already know a lot about bullying. Since I know so much, it's up to me to do my part in stopping bullying. We still need to understand that bullying has been part of our society since the beginning of time, so it will be very difficult to stop bullying. Bullying is a huge crime because it can lead to death and social disorder. Hopefully, as a school we can come together to stop bullying. (But that probably won't happen...Oh Well, Wouldn't let that happen to me though)

Emmanuela said...

I agree with what Mildreht said that " i didn't learn anything new because being a teenager in today's society, like who doesn't know about bullying?". We hear this whole "bullying" thing all the time especially in religion and now I feel like if people haven't changed it's because they don't want to not because they don't know how to. It's not that I didn't like that the school tried something new, but in my perspective we should be allowed to choose the topic of discussions next time.

Emmanuela said...

I learned that bullying is an attempt by someone to someone lesser to make them feel low, alone, or bad about themselves. I believe bullying is a issue especially in my generation. How to stop it, I still don't understand that.

Unknown said...

what i learned today about bullying is that at one poit everyone is bullied. i also leanred that a teacher can miss the signs of a kid that is being bullied. i have also learned diferent types of bullying such as, online bullying, and this can affect the person being bullied drastically

Unknown said...

i learned that many kids have received mean or threatening e-mails. Also that Girls are about twice as likely as boys to be victims and perpetrators of cyber bullying. some kids admit that someone has said mean or hurtful things to them online. But not all because they feel like if they tell someone they might laugh at them or the problem might just get worst then what it really is. There's a lot of teenagers in this world that get bullied every 7 minutes a day.

Unknown said...

i agree with mildreths opinion about the fact that todays issue is your dicision to be a bysatnder. i agree with this beacuse eveyone has the option to be bullied to be a butlly to help or to just watch. the dicision you make is what you choose to do. anyone can get out of this situation of being bullied by telling someone and standing up fpr yourself.

Unknown said...

Today one thing I learned new was it is really important not to judge a book by it's cover. Many who I would never think would be bullied, are or were a victom of it. It's extremely sad when you sit down and think about the situation. When you look at it in today's society "bullying" is a trend more of a style and it goes along with the personality. We don't understand most of our words and actions are forms of bullying because it has become a part of life and is not looked at as "serious". If we don't try to make a change our generation will continue to decrese.

Unknown said...

Today I learned that bullying come in all different shape and sizes and can be very dangerous. But the Question is, What does the bullier get out of bullying people? Whats the purpose? I also come to realize that girls bully even worse then oys due to the fact that their bullying goes unnotice by their convinng ways. I think that there needs to be a workshop where people need to work their problems out.

Unknown said...

I agree with Imani's comment because when something is done to a person it is a whole brand new ball game. As people who all know how it feels to be hurt at a point in time. During life you are still learning about yourself and the environment around you. The last thing on someones mind should be to make others feel less than one another.

Anonymous said...

i learned that everyone is bullied everyday. being bullied can be harsh because you may never know what the other might have planned for you.

Unknown said...

I think that it was a good thing that we addressed bullying this week in school, because it opened many people's eyes as to how often it occurs in our everyday lives. A lot of people don't realize that they are bullying and speaking about it this week hopefully, made them open their eyes and realized that some of the things that they do to others everyday is exactly what bullying is defined as. i also learned that there are very few safety zones in school, and that bullying is only really bullying is you have the intent to hurt someone. The question that remains is what tot do about it. do we punish the bullies, and to what extent of bullying is punishment necessary?

Unknown said...

I agree with what Mildreht said about the different tactics of bullying used between boys and girls. boys bully by using their strength and picking on people. Girls use much less obvious strategies by "hurting [someone] emotionally using body language and words as weapons". i think that using words and body language as weapons can be very painful, especially when people ignore you without telling you why they are treating you that way, and they they ostracize you. having this treatment towards a person can be very painful, and damage that person mentally and emotionally for a long time. we need to learn how to start talking our problems through, and treat people based on how we feel about them, not on how someone else tells you to feel about them.

Apparently, I haven’t learned anything new about bullying. Yet, in today's society bullying has grown to an extent where it can not be stopped. Although we see bystanders witnessing and not trying to solve the problem, it will always amount to potential danger. It is a continuous cycle of bullying unless we stand for what know is right if not one will.

i've learned that bullying can happen to anyone in their lifetime. Sometimes bullying is beyond our control. Many times the bully has been bullied in their life or has a low self-esteem. we can try and prevent bullying as much as we can, but its up to the individual to make the decision.

Aj Gibson said...

I agree what nicolette said, bullying isnt a good thing. We shouldn't just watch someone get bullied because if we were the ones being bullied you wouldn't want people laughing at you, you would want someone to help you instead. Being an upstander is the right thing to do.

Unknown said...

I've learned that there are a high percent of kids being bullied then I actually thought. The highest crimes are caused by kids being a victim of bullying. Every seven minutes, in record, are being bullied in the world.

Unknown said...

Being that I was not in school today i Can't say what I have learned from bullying. But from my understanding of bullying and reading what my peers have stated I learned bullying hurts. It is not a nice treatment. To be a bystander of someone being a bullying is not such a nice feeling you should stick up for someone. If the shoe was on the other foot you would want someone to stick up for you. So you should do unto others as you would want done toy our self. But something that I learned is that Boys are bullies just as much as girls.

Unknown said...

I agree with Nicholette. I feel as if she made many valid points on the topic bullying. She is right bullying is not something that is a good thing nor is it a funny thing. Sometimes you have to be a upstader like she said. You have to go the extra mile to make someone feel safe. Because if something bad happens thats going to always be on your conscience.

Astrid said...

I learned that bullying exists in all forms in today's society as well as in the past. Bullying is something that exists in all cultures and people are bullied for race, personality, as well as gender. These forms of bullying fall under the names of racial discrimination, genocide, sexism, etc. Bullying causes much harm and should be stopped now before more harm like death and emotional pain are caused.

Astrid said...

I agree with Cristal because I feel that we do not solve anything by being a bully, bystander, or the bullied. We make a difference by being an upstander and defending those who need our help and who are being bullied. We can help better the world one upstander at a time.

Unknown said...

Bullying amd being bullied I believe has become something part of life that people seem to not pay too much mind to it. Unfortunately bullying has become a big issue that has even caused multiple deaths. I feel that the big issue with bullying is that the one's being bullied are not strong enough to stand up and speak out. Many times when bullying is happening, the mahority of the people tend to stand back and not get involv, unaware that by them being bystanders, someone is veing physically and/or even emotionally torned. LIle Mildreht said, who doesnt know what's bullying but thats the problem, bullying should not be something known. I agree with Mildreht that boys and girls are very different when it comes to bullying but eitherway they cause damage to someone's life. Bullying has to be prevented and people should be educated on the topic inorder to prevent further accidents.

Unknown said...

I personally feel that when it comes to bullying its not something anyone should take part in. I feel that the bullied in some cases not all loose their voice for the fact of being afraid that they will get bullied even more for speaking out. I feel that there needs to be more upstanders in the world. It only takes one voice to rally a group to say "This is wrong".

Unknown said...

I agree with Chanel's comment because i also learned that there is also bullying going along between students and teachers. It should be the teachers job to prevent this from happening often because they are, by the way, the adults in this situation and shouldn't let this slide by any means. Bullying anyone based on race, gender, looks, age or personality should always be looked upon because no one, no matter if they're a teacher or not, should be penalized.

Unknown said...

I agree with Chanel. Sometimes we as people don't understand that you can hurt someone's feelings even if it is just a "joke". If everyone is not lauging. Somethings are very painful to some while to others it is very painful(jokes). Bottom line i believe that we should not bully but try to accept and love one another for who and what we are. WWJD? What Would Jesus Do?

Alia said...

Today I have learned that it isn’t right to be a bully, bullied or bystander, it’s important to speak up for those being bullied by being an upstander. I choose to be an upstander because in order to impede bullying and maltreatment we must all acknowledge that it’s hurtful & wrong and vow to stand up for what’s right. I think that instead of being part of the problem, be part of the solution because if you were being teased you would want atleast one person to defend and protect you against an act of bullying.

Alia said...

I agree with Mildreht’s comment because everyone is basically aware of bullying and how it affects the bullied. Even in elementary school we witnessed and were taught that some people are harassed and ostracized based on their minor or major differences from others. Bullying is a fact of life sometimes but it’s our job to know how to handle and stand up against bullying to make it a safer environment for not just ourselves but the common good.

Being bullied is something that we should all take seriously. Now a days it is hard to tell if a student is being bullied because of the fat that one day a group of students can be joking around and playing, but the next day that same joke can cause a fight between them. Also, we don't really know the true story behind bullying since most of it is triggered by online websites like Twitter, Myspeca, and Facebook. Once it's online, it spreads and is "handeled" the nexxt day in school.
I agree with everyone's comments on bullying since there is no right or wrong answer to what bullying is and how is can be taken care of. The simplist thing like ignoring a student or spreading a rumor can be a form of bullying as well. This is because when you try to ruin someones repuation or bring everyone in the school against them, you too are bullying them and trying to make them feel less than what they are.

Bullying is a very serious thing in the world today. Teenagers are being tormented for everything little thing and it is as if we just have to sit back and let it happen because no one would stop. It is a very serious thing and so many people are being hurt for it everyday.

BULLYIN IS VERY SERIOUS NOW ADAYS. IT HAS CAUSED MANY TEEN TO COMMIT SUICIDE. BULLYNG MUST STOP.

bullying is serious in our times today. people are commiting suicide. teens are scared to go to school because of bully.

I agree with Nicolette's statement that bulling is not a good thing. Sometimes you do have to ake matters into your own hands and stang up for the people being bullied because it is a big issue. Bullying can lead to depression or other things more serious!

Anonymous said...

I have learned that bullying should be taken way more serious then it is. I learned that bullying can happen everywhere and if you see bullying happen and don't try and stop it the bullying will increase. A victim of Bullying can have a long term effect throughtout your whole life.

Unknown said...

DB....
Bullying is something that is world-wide. I learned that bullying is a very serious matter because teens are killing themeselves because of being bullied. I also learned that bullying contains 4 parts-bullied-bully-bystander-upstander.

I agree with columani. That we can't change bullying. It's goin to happen and maybe we can manage it. But throughout history if you look back way in time, during Jesus time, he was bullied. If we tried To change that, he still would have been crucified. But either way, bullying cant be stopped only managed. Also, it can make people stronger and form them into leaders. There's a positive and negative affect to bullying. The bullied should just become stronger and develop a stronger personality.

Unknown said...

Bullying is such a worlside topic topic today. Most, if not everyone can relate to this topic. A lot of our own students in school don't feel safe of their surroundings or where they are standing, which is really depressing. I think it is really good that the school is taking time to address this issue and inform the students that there are many form of bullying, such as the bully, the bullied, the bystander, or the upstander. It is important to be an upstander because at the end of the day, that is the person who would initiate the difference and who would be admired positively. Just like the courageous women in the Civil Right Movement, we need to be brave enough to speak up on something that is unjust and that is harming others. Change is what we need to agree on right now.

Ariel said...

This issue can either be eliminated or irrevocable. In the modern age, we as the next generation should be aware of our actions and morals. Furthermore, since we're exposed to technology we should utilize them for good purposes.

Unknown said...

I agree with Mildreht's comment on bullying. Bullying is a topic that everyone is familiar with and have talked about wheather in shcool or in families. It is really hard for a student to make the decision to become an upstander, and if they do, then that person is someone to be admired. No one descerves to be humiliated, embarrassed or picked on. - Meera

Ariel said...

In response to Mildreht's comment, teenagers already know about bullying. The question is can we stop it, keep under control or let it go? As for me, I think time will tell.

I learned that being bullied isn’t fun & by bulling someone another person is getting hurt . People need to just watch the way they talk to others & understand other people have emotions . I also learned that boys & girls use different tactics . Girls may just talk about the other girl and put her down but doesn’t jump to fighting as for boys the only way they think of solving a situation is to fight . I feel there is nowhere in the school that I can be completely safe . You have people walking all around the school , coming in and out . A student may have another student in the school that are not on good terms with each other . Teachers tell students to tell them or an adult that they can trust if something’s going on but that adult may just make things worst . Then What ?

I honestly didn't learn about bullying being that it was Bullying Awareness Day. Bullying has been a very big issue for a lot of kids for many years. I agree with Takiesha. I guess I did learn about bystanders and how they reach to bullying. I think in most cases I'm the bystander. I don't like to get invovled with drama.

Carmen B said...

I have learned a few things about being a bully, victim, bystander, and a upstander. Being bullied isn't only affecting a person physically but it is also affecting a person emotionally. Many bullies pick on other students because they think they are tougher than them or they have been picked on before and want to do the same to another student.

Carmen B said...

I agree with Takiesha because there are many people that see their classmates/schoolmates get bullied and they dont really say anything because they feel that it is not their problem. Things like this happen in everyday life, people see what goes on but they don't say anything because they arent the ones thats getting bullied. In some cases there are upstanders, who stand up for the person that is getting bullied and they tell the bully to stop picking on the student.

Carmen B said...

I agree with what Tyler said because being that we are females it makes it more different than with boys. Bullying is different with girls because girls judge other girls by the way that they look or the way that they dress. While boys judge on who has a prettier girlfriend and who gets more girls than others.

TODAY IN SCHOOL WE LEARN ABOUT BULLYING. I THINK THAT, IT WAS GOOD TOPIC THAT THE SCHOOL CREATED. I THINK THAT NOW PEOPLE STUDENTS SHOULD BE EDUCATED ABOUT THIS BECAUSE THEY DONT UNDERSTAND THAT IT CAN HURT SOMEONE'S FEELING AND CAN CAUSE DEATH.MANY PEOPLE THINK ITS FUNNY, COOL AND FUN BUT IT NOT. IF I SAW SOMEONE BEING BULLIED I WOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, I WOULD TELL SOMEONE OR TAKE ACTION. WE ARE THE ONLY ONES IN THE WORLD AND WE SHOULD REPECT EACHOTHER AND TRY TO GET ALONG.
DONT MAKE FUN OF ANYBODY BY THEIR RACE, AND LOOKS. I THIMK WE SHOULD ALL BE NICE TO EACHOTHER AND BE HAPPY :)

I AGREE WUTH STEPHINE, THAT WE SHOULD ALL FEEL SAFE IN OUR SCHOOL. WE SHOULD ALL BE NICE TO EACHOTHER. AND NOT WOORIED ABOUT ANYBODIES LOOK AND RACE. STOP THE BULLIES ; BE A UPSTANDER ! ! !

I agree with all students who think that bullying is a wrong thing and we must do something to change it. Today in our society bullying is dominate,we must do something nice to stop it and we need to start now.

I personally agree with Kia's opinion about bully. I do feel that u shouldn't judge a book by it's cover and that the people you would expect to get bullied are the people who have been bullied. I also agree with her on the fact our generation doesn't understand that are actions and word are a form a bullying but it's just taken lightly and that since it has become apart of life and isn't taken seriously.

Unknown said...

i agree with what Vicki said on her post. because it's true these two days of school we been learning about things we go through ourselves or we even know some people that are being bullied or that are bullies. i strongly think that bully is unnecessary. i feel like it's a waste of time. & i think that the people that actually bully people are people that doesn't have nothing better to do. or is a LOW LIFE. like get it together. & GROW UP! also the people that actually bully others are people that are only look for attention or it makes them look cool or sometimes it helps them become friends with the popular people.

I agree with Cristal, no one deserves to be treated so badly. Whether someone is bullied physically, emotionally or verbally, it still hurts and the person who suffers the most would be the bullied. i agree with Danica i feel that saint joseph is a place unlike many schools that are bringing bullying to our attention and are taking action to try to prevent bullying. i feel we potray a strong message to be an upstander and help those who are having trouble when dealing with bullies. i hope that in further time we can use our skills and get our message across to stop bullying!!

Unknown said...

I agree with Tasha that bullying has been an issue for many decades and that it's almost impossible to completely eliminate bullying after it had became a "norm" in our society. I also agree with Amanda that in most cases of bullying (the most minor,) the bullied should learn to have a voice and defend themselves instead of expecting others to handle their situations. However, if the bullied appears to not be able to defend themselves obviously, that's when I feel the bystander should become the upstander.

Anonymous said...

I have learn that bully can effect anybody physically, emotionally, socially, and mentally. Bullying can be manage with the anti-bully program at school but i also believe that bullying cannot be prevent because it's been through out society and generations.

Another i have learned is that best to stand up for yourself because a way of people knowing to respect you and not to push you around or manipulate you.

I agree with Danica’s comment. I feel that we should be thankful that are school is such a safe haven for us. In school we are able to express ourselves and be who we really are without the fear of being ridiculed because we’re different. Many students aren’t as luck as those who attend St. Joseph High School; we are blessed with teachers who show genuine compassion for their students and care about there well being. It little thing like informing the student body about bullying and how we can make a difference that prove to me our school care.

I agree with everybody's perspective on bullying.

I have believe that we should think before speak and understand how our words can hurt others , no one deserves to be bullied and we are all human being

I learned that bullies harass others due to insecurities, popularity & revenge. The real problem is that bullies don't realize the repercussions of their cruel actions and the bullied could commit suicide or worse, take their pain out on them or others with a weapon. The only way to prevent bullying is to stop it before it gets out of control and creates utter chaos. Counselors must teach the youth the consequences of bullying & harassment.

I agree with Ariel's comment and feel that bullying is something everyone has experienced in their lifetime and it's an inevitable fact of life. People get bullied everyday and bystanders will just watch and won't even discuss it with someone of high authority. Maybe if we used technology for good & being an upstander instead of cyberbullying, less horrific incidents would occur.

i agree with Mildreht everyone does bully anyone no matter what sex. Just i believe that in a way boys and girls bully the same because their intent is to hurt. So i agree with what Mildreht said every one bullys no matter what sex they are.

I agree with Mildreht's comment. The issue is whether or not you are an upstander. Being being an upstandert takes much bravery and responsibility to cease the bullying.

I LEARNED ABOUT THE TOPIC OF BULLYING IS SOMEONE WHO BULLIES PROBABLY BEEN BULLIED IN THERE LIFE OR THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THEM. SOME SCHOOLS ARE NOT SAFE THE BULLYING STILL GOES ON. I DIDNT HAVE ANY SURPRISES ABOUT THIS TOPIC BECAUSE IT IS GOING ON EVERYDAY IN THE WORLD.

I agree with most of my fellow students who also agree that bullying is wrong. Most Times The victims Hurt And Wont Talk About It Thats Ways It Escalates into bigger probelms. If More people would try to stand up for the vitcim in some type of way it would be a easier for the vitcim to live freely

After the week of speaking on bullying three things I learned that I didnt know before was every seven minutes in the world a child is bullied. Another thing I discovered was that most precentage of bullying incidents are never reported. Also i learned that many young suicide in teens is because of bullying & that many are bullied because of their religion, race and sexuality.

I strongly agree with mildreht in way, bullying is not new to us as teens.we are used to the battering and bashing of our peers. The times have evolved and so have the ways of doing it.Cyberbulling is the way of attacking some in the form of bullying and with this you can attack ur your prey anywhere in cyber space.

When i think of bullying, I think its wrong and shouldn't be done. I feel is wrong to degrade someone just for your own pleasure and amusement. If someone is being physically, verbally and emotonally and you witness this, you should be a bystander and stand up for that person because it's the right thing to do and can make a difference for that person and others. If you witness any cruel treatment done to someone, tell an adult and stop the violence. Bullying occurred within the civil rights movement and action was taken to extreme to stop it successfully.

I agree with Chanel, students also bully teachers and not just the other way around. Students feel like the teachers put pressure on them and intimidate them so it gives them the right to give the teacher a hard time. When actually its bullying and wrong. Teachers are there to help students not bully and students are there to learn and not have a competition on bullying.
